Meet Monti

I’ve spent my whole life in Alamance County, coming right back after college and building a home and a life here. The charm of a small town is what convinced my wife, Linda, and I to choose Elon as the place to raise our two daughters — and today, we’re still waving to neighbors we’ve known for decades while welcoming new ones who are just now discovering what makes our community so special.

Elon is a place where people can live, work, and raise their families in safe and welcoming neighborhoods. One of the reasons I ran for Town Council in 2019 is that I wanted to work with others to make sure we continue to keep that small-town charm intact, while working to foster smart growth and expansion. That type of forward thinking demands bold leadership, a clear vision for the future and the ability to work alongside community leaders, residents and stakeholders alike — all in order to reach outcomes we can all get behind.

I’ve been married to my best friend Linda for over 40 years, I’m dad to two brilliant daughters and one awesome son-In-law, and grandfather to two lively granddaughters.
