The Elon Town Council is a nonpartisan elected board, allowing us to govern without interference or pressure from national or state political parties. Our investment in people and infrastructure allowed Elon to be named by Safewise.com in 2023 as the #2 Safest City in North Carolina. The Elon Fire Department has earned an Insurance Service Office Public Protection rating of 3 — a score that helps keep our insurance premiums low.

We’re fortunate that Elon University and our continuing care retirement communities attract a broad and diverse population, coming from unique backgrounds around the U.S. and the world.

As a taxpayer here, I’ll continue to make sure we are stewards of our town’s finances in the smartest way possible, making improvements to our infrastructure, keeping our neighborhoods and downtown spaces clean and beautiful, and ensuring Elon is a place where people want to call home.
