Town Council Approved Investments over the last four years, including but not limited to:
- Approved E. Haggard Ave. water line replacement utilizing ARPA funds to help defray costs
- Continue to repair and add new sidewalks to encourage safe mobility of residents
- Acquired property for future Police Department on W. Haggard Avenue
- Acquired Travis Creek sewer pump station to accommodate residential development
- Approved construction of Downtown Plaza utilizing community contributions to defray costs
- Approved joining the Link Transit system to provide public transportation to and from Elon
- Approved purchase to replace eighteen-year-old Fire Department Ladder Truck ($1.8 million)
- Adopted a minimum fund balance policy to maintain cash deposits and reserves of at least 35% of annual budgeted expenditures
